When playing Backgammon, a barcovers up the chat screen and buttons. Is there a way to remove it?

No options menu or help on Yahoo gives information on this bar.
The bar says ‘Java Applet Window’. No Java options mention this bar.
No other Java applications except those on Yahoo games include online pharmacy prescription this bar.
The respective owners of this PC do not want the resolution changed, even temporarily.
Clicking (of any kind) does nothing.
No ‘resize arrows’ show up.
Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, and Netscape Explorer have no option pertaining to said bar.
