I recently got a cool job teaching an 11 year old chess. Many of the details are still being worked out (and I am unsure what his level is), but I will be teaching once a week for probably between 1-2 hours. What are some effective ways to teach openings, tactics, strategy, and endings, and what are the key concepts I should get to first?

If it is not a freeware can anybody tell me the name of the chess game. As long as it is a good/the best chess game. Plz, plz, plz, plz, plz.

I’m working on a translation of different games, and small graphical icons for each game. The text: バックギャモン becomes very small on the icon, therefor it would be better to write it on two lines, but where to divide the word?
